[See today's posting. --MC]
I would like to start a collection of accounts of improvements in fitness,
diet, weight, etc. If you have made a substantial change along these lines,
I’d like to hear from you. If you prefer to remain anonymous, indicate that
in your message and I will strip all identification.
Please mail accounts to cole…@cs.ucla.edu (and post, too, if you like).
Here are some points you might address:
– What changes did you make? (diet, exercise, etc.)
– What have you accomplished? (statistics: weight loss, body fat, blood
pressure, cholesterol, lap times, etc.)
– How long have you sustained these changes/habits?
– What motivated you to change?
– What specific techniques, plans, etc., that you used would you recommend to
others?
– Are there any that you would recomment against?
– How long has it taken to effect these changes?
– What sort of process was it? (e.g. two steps forward and one back)
– What’s it like now? How does it feel to have made the change?
– Do you feel the change is permanent?
– What are your plans for the future?
– Any succinct advice to those who might follow you?
Thanks,
Mike Coleman
