[I'm sure everyone is getting tired of seeing this, but everytime I send it
out, more contributions trickle in. What can I say? --MC]

I would like to start a collection of accounts of improvements in fitness,
diet, weight, etc. If you have made a substantial change along these lines,
I'd like to hear from you. If you prefer to remain anonymous, indicate that
in your message and I will strip all identification.

Please mail accounts to cole...@cs.ucla.edu (and post, too, if you like). I
will mail or post the collection in a few weeks, depending on reader interest.

Here are some points you might address:
- What changes did you make? (diet, exercise, etc.)
- What have you accomplished? (statistics: weight loss, body fat, blood
pressure, cholesterol, lap times, etc.)
- How long have you sustained these changes or habits?
- What motivated you to change?
- How long has it taken to make these changes?
- What sort of process was it? (e.g. two steps forward and one back)
- How did you sustain your motivation? What kept you going when things got
tough?
- What's it like now? How does it feel to have made the change?
- Do you feel the change is permanent?
- What are your plans for the future?
- What specific techniques, plans, etc., that you used would you recommend to
others?
- Are there any that you would recommend against?
- Any succinct advice to those who might follow you?

Thanks,
Mike Coleman

--
